Batana is native to South and Central America and the oil os derived from the nut of the American Oil Palm tree (Elaeis oleifera). For centuries, indigenous communities in Honduras, such as the Miskito people (also known as the Tawira tribe) have used Batana Oil for hair strengthening. It is said that their name translates to “people of beautiful hair.” They have titled Batana Oil as the “Miracle Oil. It is also known as Ojon Oil.
- Take a small amount of batana oil and begin rubbing it in your hands to liquify it.
- Apply the oil throughout damp or dry hair. Concentrate on the scalp and areas of thinning hair.
- Massage into the scalp using gentle, circular motions.
- Leave on for at least 20 minutes or overnight.
- Rinse the oil out with a mild shampoo and repeat every other day 3 to 4 times weekly.
